Juliana Maniquis Hernandez is a New York–based filmmaker whose work is driven by visual storytelling, collaboration, and craft. A recent graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, she built her foundation through hands-on experience across Directing, Assistant Directing, Production Design, and Producing—working on numerous narrative short films, commercials, and independent projects.

While at Tisch, Jules became a trusted creative collaborator on student and indie sets, frequently recommended for Assistant Director and Art Director roles for her organizational precision and visual sensibility. Her background spans narrative filmmaking, animation, and commercial media, with professional experience as a Production Assistant and contractor on indie films, branded content, and social media campaigns.

Beyond narrative work, Jules has directed, shot, and edited visual content across music, fashion, and digital platforms—serving as videographer, photographer, and animator for brands, artists, and campaigns, although her sites are focused on Directing. Her multidisciplinary approach allows her to move fluidly between departments, shaping projects from concept through execution.

She is currently completing a 15-minute short film for festival submission, marking a defining step in her directorial path. Jules brings a cinematic eye, strong leadership, and an intuitive understanding of story to every project, creating work that feels intentional, immersive, and emotionally grounded.
